I've always had preferences set so that a new WU gets downloaded minutes before the current WU finishes. That gives the best chance of my modest GTX 460 earning max bonuses.

Depends on your BOINC cache settings. Specifically the "Min work buffer" and "Max additional" figures. Can you tell us what you have for these two values? For my GPUgrid crunchers I use: Min work buffer = 0.01 Max additional = zero That means it will only try and maintain enough work to keep the CPU and GPU busy and assumes you have a full-time network connection. ____________ BOINC blog

Depends on your BOINC cache settings. Specifically the "Min work buffer" and "Max additional" figures. Can you tell us what you have for these two values? Mine were set to 0.10 and 50. I changed them for your settings and binned the early WU. I was not around for the end of the current WU but it reported at 16:04:56 UTC and the next WU downloaded at 14:17:39 UTC, so it was ready to run when the current WU upload began. I'll keep watching... Thanks for responding!! ____________
