Well for one thing I installed all the c++ redistributables, which can be found here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2019667 . As long as it has redistributable in the title or description I suggest you download it. Im running the three virus scanners offered by windows in the background and I really dont think it would affect the cpu at all. Anyways I dropped 30 minutes on my time. Which a 760 to a 660ti is 15 minutes. Its kind of how running world community grid or rosetta doesnt affect gpugrid in my eyes. So my second question would be what drivers would I need to install to make my card even better. Im on a roll dont stop me now. 650ti boost running 320.49. also if you have a recommended boinc version. shout me a holla dog.

You shouldn't need to install the C++ redistributables separately. If software needs them, they usually install them theirselves and tell you to do so (and won't run if they're missing). But if they're not being used they don't affect the program at all. When you say you saw a sudden speed increase you should be careful to only compare runtimes of similar WUs. Quickly looking at your host shows a large range of slightly different SR tasks. Which a 760 to a 660ti is 15 minutes What do you mean? Which driver: I'm fine with 320.18 but didn't run much GPU-Grid recently. Others had more reliable results with 310 - 314. If you're running fine I'd say don't change, certainly not to a beta driver. And while you got some errors lately others completed these WUs just fine with the same driver, so something esle caused the errors. MrS ____________ Scanning for our furry friends since Jan 2002

I installed a different copy of windows, and low and behold it wouldnt install without messing with the bios. Then my keyboard wouldnt light up so I couldnt access bios. It was a broken jumper that needed to be replace and started in the off position. I fixed it on the first. It was a big mess up. Anyways, I use this computer so I dont expect it to be perfect. You think I should reinstall this windows? I think it wouldnt hurt but ill give it more time because windows is a fragile thing. Have a good one.

That sounds.. uhm, very chaotic! Personally I almost always only reinstall when upgrading the OS version in some major way or when I can't transition to a newer drive. So it's actually the opposite from fragile since Win2k. But this obviously depends on what you're doing..
