Since the end of May I've been keeping an EXCEL log of GPUGrid WUs run on my modest GTX 660 (I'm retired so have time for such frivolities!)

So far as your issue with blocking Short-run tasks, are you sure you have the "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" option set to "No"? Though, if GPUGrid is your only GPU project, it'd probably be best to leave it to "Yes" to keep the GPU busy, in times where the Long queue is empty. It's set to YES 'cause I also run POEM. Regarding the stats, I would be quite curious to see the results that happen when 8.14 moves to the Long-run queue. Then, the NOELIA tasks should hopefully run much more smoothly, and I bet you get the most credits from those tasks... maybe. What's 8.14?

If you have it set to yes, ticked on, than you will get short runs as longs runs are not available. So that explains way you get them sometimes. It is optimized and with a lesser error rate. It is now in the beta queue. ____________ Greetings from TJ

It refers to the GPUGrid applications, not any other project's applications. So, if you for sure do not ever want certain GPUGrid applications, you have to select NO there. It will not affect your POEM work/settings (POEM has it's own POEM project settings, at their website). I still recommend leaving it to YES, to make sure the GPU is kept busy, in times where the Long-run queue is empty. It's being used by the Beta application, and I also believe it has been deployed to the Short-run application. You can see the version number in BOINC, on the task list, if you go all the way to the right, and look at the "Application" column.
