Sorry to say, Vbox on Linux for other apps DOES NOT WORK WELL!!! I can see you had issues when you first joined ATLAS but you have run all tasks successfully for about a week since then however, you post sounds like it is never works properly? I'm running vLHCathome and ATLAS without any big hassles. (I do LHC - sixtrack also ... I'm kind of a CERN groupie) I'm not trying to say VBox is perfect but neither is BOINC or any of the projects using it. I think what makes it difficult at times is that VBox presents new and different challenges than what we are accustomed to seeing. Something I try to keep in mind is that while using VBox for BOINC is still relatively new, there are substantially less issues that when the first GPU projects launched through BOINC :-) Happy crunching, Steve

I killed another one today, 100% complete and still running 24 hours after hitting 100% complete.

Well it appears that when I abort an Atlas task that shows 100% but does not exit, the task is indeed complete, just not signalling complete to Vbox.
