Do you remotely control your BOINC clients, be it with BOINC Manager, BoincTasks, BOINCView, or even boinccmd?

To control remotely using BOINC Manager, you would utilize BOINC GUI RPC (Gaphical User Interface Remote Procedure Call). Here is a link to get you started: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Controlling_BOINC_remotely. There are some config files and passwords to set up but it does work.

I currently have my eye on Boinctasks but I would also like to know how do do it with the stock BOINC Manager. Set up the config files and passwords as captainjack says - they are needed, and work exactly the same whatever tool you decide on. BoincTasks will allow you to view all machines and tasks on a single console screen. BOINC Manager only allows you to view one machine at a time.

I add this to cc_config.xml <allow_remote_gui_rpc>1</allow_remote_gui_rpc> And remote control with BOINCTasks. Easiest way to set it up.

TeamViewer. Allows you to see the entire system not just boinc. I can go in and look at everything. Across to files, etc

TeamViewer. Allows you to see the entire system not just boinc. I can go in and look at everything. Across to files, etc I currently use teamviewer but for a large number of systems it's a bit of a hassle. It will always be my go-to for file management and seeing what the system is actually doing but for a quick look and clicking update on GPUGrid something like BOINCtasks works really well.
